Messrs. Morey and Son have an announcement in this issue regarding children's wear. The Hawera Borough Council is calling for applications for an Inspector of Nuisances at a salary of £3 -per week. The conditions can be seen at the office of this paper. The "Cravenette" or waterproofing process has at last been successfully applied to men's hats. Yesterday, ex Tainui, the Melbourne landed a shipment of hard and soft felt hats, which are thoroughly waterproof, yet in outward appearance the hats resemble the ordinary unproofed kind.
