A RALLY IN CONSOLS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 21, 10.10 p.m. London, June 21. A rally in consols is due to the statement that Mr. Lloyd George is devoting 6ome of the surplus to the redemption ' of debt. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date June 19:—Wheat: We have sold an Australian cargo at 40s fid c.i.f. The market is quiet but steady, owing to French buying, and the outlook is encouraging. Messrs. Andrew Clement and Sons (W. D. Robertson, local agent) report under date June 21, as follows:—Butter: Salted, 112s; unsalted, 114s; market weak and lower. Cheese: White, 725; colored, 745; market weak and declining.
