BOMB-THROWING. By CaWe—Press Association—Copyright. Paris, June 20. ' Patucilli, an Italian, has been sentenced to penal servitude for life for, throwing a bomb'into a jeweller's establishment at Boulogne-sur-Seine in February last. HELD UP. San Francisco, June 20. At Stockton, California, an armed robber, with a blackened face, held up a river launch containing a pleasure party, robbed them of all valuables, compelled the engineer to land all aboard and pursue another launch with the intention of robbing tne occupants. The engineer, named Ross, knocked the robber overboard. A passenger beat the robber to death, using oars. His body was recovered. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY. By Telegraph—Preas Association. ] Auckland, Friday. Burglars entered the Great Northern Brewery last night and attempted to break open the safe with gelignite placed in the lock. They were evidently interrupted and did not explode the gelignite, which was found by employees this morning.
