Speaking at Albany, the Prime Minister, replying to Mr. Massey's statement that short-dated loans were k mistake, asked, Was this the right (time to issue long-dated debentures when money was exceedingly dear? The advantage of raising money by long and short periods had been carefully considered, and the commercial training of the present Government was equal to dealing with this important matter.
