EXPORT OF BUTTER
DEPUTATION TO UNION CO. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday. A deputation, representing butter* exporters to Canada, waited on Mr Kennedy at the Union Company's Office yesterday, with reference to the allotments of refrigerating space. It was pointed out that there were apprehensions lest there should be a repetition of last season's experiences when orders had to be refused from Canada for butter on account of insufficient space being available. It is also feared that Australian speculators in space might leave insufficient for New Zealand. It was explained that it was impossible to guarantee to fill the space six or eight months ahead. Mr Kennedy replied that he would refer the matter to the head-office.
