AGRICULTURAL SHOWS
SOUTHLAND'S EXHIBITION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. The Southland Winter Show was opened to-day. There was a good attendance. The exhibits this year numbered 815, as against 733 last year. The strongest section was factory "cheese, in which Wyndham, following its success of the last two years, secured the special prize donated by Mr. Sawyers, of Edendale. The wet season, to some extent, affected the exhibits, particularly fruit. Roots were on the whole good, and oats and seeds exceptionally fine. The Agricultural Department's exhibit is a feature of the show.
