FIRES.
PIRE AT LOWER HUTT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday. An eight-roomed house at the Lower Hutt, owned and occupied by John Weir, was totally destroyed by fire early this morning, the occupants narrowly escaping. The house was insured for £SOO in the GuaTdian Fire Office, and the furniture for £325 in the State Office. If your property is not insured, call at or ring up the United Insurance Company, Ltd., Dfvon Street; telephone 198. Webster Bros., district agents. Insurances effected on the most favorable terms.—Advt.
