INDUSTRIAL UNREST
INTERNATIONAL LABOR LEGISLATION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 16, 5.5 p.m. London, June 10. The special committee of the International Association for Labor Legislation met in London to consider a reduction of working hours by International agreement.' It was decided that a beginning should be made with industries working night and day. It was resolved that the entire iron and steel industry in Europe and America is ripe for an eight-hour day. The committee recommended that steps i n that direction should be taken at the earliest moment. An eight-hour day was also justifiable and necessary in the glass, paper and other continuous industries.
