THE REFORM LEAGUE
A TRIBUTE TO MR. MASSEY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The annual meeting of the Provincial Council, constituted under the scheme of re-organisation recently adopted hy the Auckland Political Reform League, was held to-day. Mr. Massey, leader of the Opposition, presided as president of the league. The report of the provincial executive, protested against the statements recently made to the effect that the Reform Party has lost confidence in its leader, and states that the party had never before had so much confidence in Mr. Massey as at present. The references in the report to Mt. Massey were endorsed hy the conference. Several speakers, including members of Parliament, expressed the confidence and admiration with which the party and its supporters regarded Mr. Massey. The conference unanimously recorded its deep sense of obligation and its appreciation of the valuable services rendered to the community by the members of the party under the leadership of Mr. Massey. It was stated that a Dominion conference of the party would he held at Wellington on July 27.
