EMPIRE PICTURE PALACI. The new programme to be showa at the Empire this afternoon and to-aigihi is classed as one of thie strongest and most interesting selections ever handled by this popular management. Prominent on the new series is a lengthy dete«tivs comedy, a burlesque on the Sherlock Holmes of Conan Doyle, entitled "Surelock Jones." What this great doteetivs cannot do remains to be s<;en, and a visii to the Empire to-night will proye an education to all young fellows aspiring te be in the front rank of sleuth hounds.| The dramatic portion is immensely attractice, and includes "The Heart of Nichette," "The Long Arm of the Law," "Wig-Wag," a Boy Scout drama by tin* Vitagraph Co., and "The O'Neill," a patriotic Irish drama, produced by ths Kalem Company on their recent trip ts the Emerald Isle. One of the moot interesting industrial pictures ever released is "Seal Fishing off Newfoundland," and this film will be shown at ths Empire to-night.

BLASCHECK. Mr. Joseph Dlascheck, the humorist, who is to appear at the Theatre Royal, •n Thursday next, has been wall received wherever he ihas appeared throughout the Dominion. Mr. Blas•heck has proved himself an undeniably elerer entertainer, and his humour is of the best. Miss Wrighton is singularly versatile as a pianist, soloist, or impersonator. In ballads or coon songs she displays great merit as a soprano vocalist. Their repertoire has'been m extended as to enable them to give an entirely different programme to that previously presented. The box plan opens on Monday morning at Collier's, and those desiring good seats should book early.
