GOLF.

NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A team of thirteen members of the Stratford Golf Club played a match against the above club yesterday, which resulted in a win for the local club by 10 games to 3, the home club putting in a strong team. The afternoon was an excellent one for golf, the only drawback being a shower of rain about 2 o'clock, after which the weather cleared completely and a most enjoyable game was played. The greens were in first class order. Ritchie played excellent golf, doing 17 holes in 71, the other hole not being played out owing to the ball hitting a player. The following are the results of the individual games:— A. Bewley lost to Ritchie, 6 up and 5. W. C. Weston beat J. R. Stanford, 7 up and 6. Johns beat C. Wright, 2 up. Bewley, sen., beat S. Spence, 8 up tind 6. ' J. Paton beat Fussell, 0 up and 5. Glasgow beat V. Crawshaw, 3 up and 2. C. 11. Weston beat Uniacke, 3 up fend 2. Haslam lost to W. ,T. Cnwshaw, 1 up. Morrison lost to Wright, sen., 3 up and 2. Johnston beat Thompson, 2 up and 1. Nicoll beat R. Spence 9 up and 7. ITonan beat Budrl, 3 up and 2. Kibbell beat Croker, 4 up and 3.
