THE NORDEN CUP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. Wairarapa played, a challenge game for the Norden Hockey Cup New Zealand premiership to-day, defeating Manawatu, the holders, by 3 points to 2, after a [very keen game, in which the visitors had the best of the first spell and the home team of the second, in which they attacked persistently, hut missed goals through bad shooting. Crump early scored for Manawatu, but the next two goals were got by Tunneeliffe for Wairarapa. Early in the second spell Fitt equalised for Manawatu, Dixon speedily putting on the winning goal for Wairarapa. Manawatu attacked persistently amidst fast play, but the defence was too good, and the cup changed hands after one of the best games ever seen here.
