PASSIVE RESISTERS. I'. ( fi'^raph—Press Association. Gisborne, Last Night. Fifteen Territorials were arraigned before the Magistrate to-day for failing to attend parade, and put forward a variety of excuses. Fines of £1 and costs (7s) were imposed In all but a case in which the offender did not appear and was lined £1 10s and costs. Magistrate Barton made severe remarks, stating that he Ttfould keep on increasing the fines for future offences. If anybody had an interest in the country he should be prepared to defend at.
