WARDEN'S COURT

A REEFTON APPLICATION. By Telegraph —Press Association. Reeffron, Thursday. To-day, at the Warden's Court, Mr. Fagan, representing the Miners' Union, for whom Mr. O'Regan appeared, applied for cancellation of the rights and. privileges belonging to the Blackwater mines and Consolidated Goldfields, Ltd. The court was crowded at the calling of the suit. Mr. Lawry, solicitor for the companies, made application for evidence of Messrs. Gilmour and Williams, mine managers at Waihi, to be taken at Wailii. Mr. O'Regan strongly protested, stating that the evidence of two Waihi men was not applicable to a dispute at Reefton. After hearing counsel, Warden Hewitt decided to grant an adjournment till July, in order to get the men's evidence taken. The companies have applied for six months' protection for their properties at Blackwater and Energetic.
