THE MINISTER FOR RAILWAYS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Tauranga, Last Night. The Hon. W. D. S. Mac Donald, Minister for Railways, arrived here from Waihi this afternoon. He was met by the Mayor, county chairman, and leading public men. He was afterwards entertained at afternoon tea, and then adjourned to the Coronation Hall and received a large number of deputations on railway and road matters, his replies being regarded as satisfactory. The Minister will be entertained at a banquet this evening by the local bodies, and will leave for Tepuke in the morning, travelling over the railway route to that district, where he will be banquetted at night. On Thursday he will leave for Whakatane, and on Friday will go on to Opotiki.
