Mails will close (subject to alterations) at the Chief Post Office, New Plymouth, as under:— For Auckland and North, Tuesdays and Fridays, at 7 p.m., and daily per mail train at 6.16 a.m. For Wanganui and intermediate offices, daily, at 6.15 a.m., 12.20 p.m. and 3.66 p.m. For Wellington and South—6.ls a.m. and 12.20 p.m. daily. Correspondence for Continent of Europe to be specially addressed. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, also Continent of Europe, and specially addressed #orrespondence for United Kingdom, via Suez, at 6.15 a.m. Due in London June 14. For Auckland and North, per Botoiti, about noon. FRIDAY, JUNE 7. For Tasmania, via Bluff, at 6.15 a.m. SATURDAY, JUNE 8. For Australian States, via Auckland, at '6.1(5 a.m. For Wellington and South, per Rotoiti, about 11 a.m. KING'S BIRTHDAY HOLIDAY. Monday June 3 (King's Birthday) will be observed as a. holiday by the Post and Telegraph Office. The following hours will be observed:— The Post Office will open from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for delivery of correspondence only. The Money Order and Savings Bank branches wiU be closed. Mails usually closing on Monday will be closed at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. Supplementary mails will be closed at 6.15 a.m. on the Monday. The Travelling Post Office will run as usual. A counter delivery of all correspondence will be made at the Chief Post Office from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. The Telegraph Office will open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Telephone Exchange will remain open as usual.
