A BUSHFELLER KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. A man named Ernest Slares was killed While working in the bush at Manunui.
THE MOTOR FATALITY.
IWanganui, Yesterday. Evidence at the inquest on the body of Thomas O'Neill was to the effect that deceased had inflicted l serious injuries to his stomach with a pocket-knife while in a state of temporary insanity. He hadi not been drinking heavily, but had taken cllorodyne. No cause is assigned for the deed.
FATAL EFFECTS OF A DRINKING BOUT.
Dunedin, Last Night. At the inquest on the T>ody of Charles Downie, who was found dead on Moimay night, evidence showed that the deceased had been drinking a good deal since he came into town on Thursday. Medical evidence was to the effect that death was due to sudden heart failure, the rssult of alcoholism and exhaustion. A verdict was returned in accordance with the medical evidence.
