A MUNIFICENT OFFER. . By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The cost of erecting, furnishing, and . equipping the new Y.M.C.A. buildiijg is estimated at £23,529, of which amount the directors have £ 18,525) in hand «r '/■ promised, leaving a balance of £5000.' At a meeting to-night it was announced ' that three gentlemen had offered to prov vide .£IOO6 each if the public \ the remaining £2OOO to enable the ' building to be opened free of debt. Each of the three gentlemen has previously given substantial donations to the fund. The offer was accepted with* thanks, and a citizens' committee was appointed to raise '£2ooo.
