BLAZE AT GORE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gore, Saturday. A fire broke out at four o'clock this morning in Bruce's tea-rooms. The Clothing Factory's shop adjoining was slightly damaged by water and smoke. The building was owned by Hallenstcin Bros. The insurance on Bruce's stock and effects is £f>2o in the Victoria Fire Office. The tea-rooms were completely gutted, and the loss includes a valuable piano.

BLAZE AT WAIHT. Waihi, Last Night. A two-storeyed boarding-house in Upper Main street, occupied by Mrs. McWilliams, and owned by J. Donaldson, was completely destroyed by fire. The outbreak occurred at two o'clock. The occupants lost practically all their belongings. The promptness of the brigade prevented the fire spreading to adjoining buildings. One boarder, who had placed a leather wallet containing £2OO in notes under his mattress, recovered the money from among the debris. Tke furniture was insured for £2OO in the Norwich Union office. A fire broke out this morning in the premises of 'Hodson Bros., grocers, Dublin street, and a shope and onc-stoTey "building were completely gutted. Hodson Bros., who live on the premises, just escaped in time with but a few belongings. The shop, belonging of F. J. Johns, was insured in the Guardian Office lor £225, while the stock, cash register, scales and fixtures brought Hodson's insurance up to £315, but this does not nearly cover their loss.
