Cold, raw weather such as is being now experienced naturally turns attention to warm woollen goods. In all wool blankets the Melbourne's sensational offering at 21s per pair for large double-bed size is creating a furore. Not for ten long years has such a price been equalled. His Majesty the Baby is to be catered for this week at our store in King St. In walking through a well-known traveller's rooms we were struck with the appearance of a lovely lot of embroidered goods, which we discovered were christening robes for his Majesty the Baby. On inquiring the price, the traveller said that as there were very few babies in New Plymouth he did not anticipate selling them. This was our chance. We made him an offer for the sixty robes, and we, to our surprise, got them at our own price. They range in price from 10s 6d to 27s 6d. Now the mothers of this town are to be made a present of these to-day at 5s lid each at the Busy Cash Store, King St. Women's wants for winter weather at White and Sons:—Heavy natural combinations, usually 8s 6d, a big purchase selling at 5s lid.
