WORKERS' HOME SITES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, Tuesday. General satisfaction is expressed locally at the Government's acquisition of ten acres of Forest Lake Estate for subdivision into quarter-acre sections for workers' homes. The estate lies in close proximity to Hamilton and Frankton.

DYNAMITING PISH. Auckland, Tuesday. The killing of fish by setting off explosives in the water was admitted this morning at the Police Court by James H. Speedy, of Chelsea, who was charged with perpetrating the offence on January 29 and February 2. Accused was fined £5 and costs on the first charge, and ordered to pay 28s costs on ithe second.

Prices for benzine continue to rule high, the average retail price being from 16s to £ I per case, as against the usual lis 6d.
