Oeorge, eldest son of the Duke of Cumberland, was motoring at Mecklenburg, and while steering at full speed on a section of the road which was being repaired the ear overturned into the ditch. The prince's head was shattered and his chest crushed. He was killed instantaneously. The prince's chamberlain'was also killed, and his chauffeur seriously hurt.
