ANOTHER BURGLARY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, May 21. In the early morning Gleeson, a manservant in Mrs. Burdekin's house in Macquarie street, discovered a masked armed man on the premises. Despite a threat to shoot, he closed with the intruder. In the struggle the burglar's revolver went off, narrowly missing Gleeson. The burglar escaped. FURTHER BURGLARIES. Received 21, 11.35 p.m. Sydney, May 21. The Macquarie street burglary has fizzled out. Detectives, after examining Gleeson, declare that his story is unreliable. Two burglaries have occurred at Turramurra, £230 in money and jewellery being looted.
