A MINISTER'S CRITICISM. By Telegraph—Pre* AMoratiov. Dunedin, Last Night. Tn connection with the recent criticism of the Arbitration Court by the Hon. G. Laurenson. Mr. W. Scott, a member of the Court, to-day expressed amazement at the Minister's remarks. Mr. Scott said that the Minister not only showed lack of judgment in his remarks concerning the' Judge of the Court, but also lamentable ignorance of the law on the question of indentures. The case referred to hadlieen argued by two of the ablest counsel in New' Zealand, and the judgment was a carefully written one. Mr. iS'cott also said that the Ministe» was far astray in his opinions regarding the dispute between Nearing and Co. and other employers and the Auckland Waterside Workers' Union.
