A RAILWAY ROBBERY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. A sum of £3OO, belonging to tile Railway Department, which was being sent from one of the small stations between Ohakune and Tnumarunui for banking purposes, has disappeared. Cash and cheques were in the box, which on its arrival at Taumarunui was found to be empty. The affair is a complete mystery. SLY GROG SELLING. Masterton, Friday. In the Magistrate's Court, Albert Duske was fined £2O, and Lionel McCarthy £lO, for keeping liquor for sale. Dunedin, Friday. At the instance of the Crown Prosecutor, the case against Margaret Parker for sly grog selling, in which two junta failed to agree, was ordered to stand over till the next sitting.
