ARMS AND AMMUNITION SEIZED. Madrid, May 10. Acting on information from Hamburg Socialists, the authorities at Corunna seized twenty-one bales, alleged to contain German paper, which, were addressed to a Catholic resident. The bales were found to contain 200 rifles and 2008 packets of cartridges, intended for the Portuguese Monarchists. A CATHEDRAL PILLAGED. Paris, May 16. Thieves damaged several columns and a tabernacle ill the cathedral at Die, in the South of France. They also set on fire two hundred seats and badly burned an eleventh century porch, the high altar, and the organ. A CHINESE LOAN. Pekin, May 16. The loan negotiations with the six Powers have been concluded so far as Pekinj is concerned. The first advances, amounting to £10,000,000, will cover the period to the end of October, and afterwards a loan of £40,000,000 will be issued. The London representatives of the Six Powers interested in the Chinese £00,000,000 loan are conferring in London.
