EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. A complete new programme will be piesented at the matinee performance commencing at 2.30 to-day, numbering some of the most wonderful productions of the film world. The leading star picture is a sensation by the Vitagraph Company, entitled "An Aeroplane Elopement," freely advertised in the large cities as the most original and unique photo play ever presented. Full of thrilling interest from the start of the lovers m the aeroplane, the film continues to show the race with the speed boat, locomotive and automobile, conveying the girl's frantic father, right to tiie finish, where the young folks win the race, anrl also the father's blessing. Another wonderful Vitagraph masterpiece is "The V oiceless Message," a pleasing dramatie a i f( ' aturi,l £ ie clever child actress, Adele de Garde. "Thrown to the Lions" is a Gaumont colored film that caused & remarkable sensation in AVellington a few weeks back. The usual comics and a number of industrial films are also shown on the change programme.
