THE CONSOLIDATED FUND
RECEIPTS AND EXPENDITURE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The statement of receipts and expenditure of the consolidated fund for the year ended MaTch 31, 1912, appears in to-night's Gazette. The principal items are:—Receipts: Balance at beginning of the year, £586,483; ordinary revenue, £10,721,387; territorial revenue, £248,791; national endowment revenue, £62; : 365; miscellaneous sums transferred to consolidated fund, £13,175; debentures renewed, £196,200; miscellaneous £15.541; total, £11,843,844. Expenditure: Permanent appropriations, £3,886,618; annual appropriations, £6,553,750; transferred to public works fund, £500,000? debentures renewed, £196,200; balance at end of year, £807,275; total, £11,853,844.
