EMPIRE PICTURES. The splendid programme screened last nighb was certainly deserving of better patronage than was accorded it. The weather was anything but attractive, and this, of course, accounted in no small degree for the poor attendance. The exquisitely-colored picture of Dumas' famous and tragie love romance "Gamille* met with hearty applause from those present. Vittoria Lepanto, a noted actress of Italy, takes the part of "Camille," or Marguerite Gautier, as she is called. Two films which proved educative were "Humors of Animal Life" and "Crocodile Farming," while "The New Superintendent" and "Regeneration" are very powerful and interesting dramas. The comic side of the programme, comprising among others "With a Kodak" and "Brave and Bold," was all that could he desired.
