They had laid plans enabling the navy to meet any emergency. Organisation was more valuable than the expenditure of ten or fifteen millions on battleships. A CRUISER LUANCHED. Received 15, 12.40 a.m. London, May 14. The cruiser Melbourne has been launched. She is the thirtieth cruiser. The Sydney will be launched next month.
