FURTHER FATALITIES. Received 15, 12.40 a.m. New York, May 14. An aviator named Fisher, with Mason, a passenger, fell 200 feet at Brooklands. Both were killed. The monoplane burst into flames on the ground, burning Mason's body.
FLYING MACHINES IN WELLINGTON. FLIGHTS POSTPONED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A beautifully-made local aeroplane and an imported Bleriot machine are now on exhibition here. It was understood that flight exhibitions were to have been given by Messrs. Walsh and Veshuren, who own the Bleriot, and by Mr. Hammond, a New Zealander, who has made some fine flights in the Old World, but apparently some hitch has arisen, and Mr. Hammond has left New Zealand for the time being, and Mr. Veshuren, who is a mechanical expert, is returning to America. A syndicate that is interested in the venture may get an aeronaut from America to give exhibitions in the Dominion.
