RISING IN ALBANIA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Constantinople, May 13. Hassan Bey, ex-deputy for Prishtina, with three hundred Albanians from Ipek, has proceeded to the mountains, threatening to proclaim a general insurrection, on the ground that the Young Turks are selling land cheaply to foreigners. The. Government fears the rebels may capture sixteen thousand rifles stored at Prishtina, twelve thousand at Ipek, and ten thousand at Diakova. A WAR CORRESPONDENT'S PATE. Received 15, 12.40 a.m. Rome, May 14. Smallwood, the Daily Chronicle's correspondent, was fatally shot in an ambush during reconnoitring operations outside Derma. The Italians have occupied the islands of Piscopa, Nisera, Kalismo, Deros and Pafcmos. They captured the Turkish authorities and Government officials. A GATHERING OP THE CLANS. Received 15, 12.40 a.m. Constantinople, May 14. The Mirdites are assembling' in response to a call to arms. Their numbers are daily increasing. They are demanding the same concessions as wen* accorded the Malissori in 1911.
