HOSPITAL CONFERENCE. : To the Editor, Sir,—ls it a fact tlmt the election to be held on Tuesday of two delegates to represent Taranaki local bodies oil the conference at Wellington to consider the Local Government Bill, is to be a cut and dried affair? In short, (hat the votes of delegates arc at present being canvassed in the interests of a certain two of their number. From the facta that I have at my disposal, there can b# little doubt but that it is no idle rumor. —Yours, etc., "THE GREATEST GOOD TO THE GREATEST NUMBER."
