EMPIRE PICTURES. There was a packed 'house again At ?i Palace last night, l)0"i t'.v.ici, O. 'ocs having to close long before 8 o'clock. The star picture, "The Fatal Wedding," was received with great applause. The Kalem film illustrating great engineerng feats was also very interesting. A great reservoir for eupplying New York with its water supply was shown under construction. The great dam in course of construction is one mile long and 240 ft high, and is costing over two and a half millions. Tlm> water has to be carried in an aqueduct a distance of 92 miles, in one place passing under the Hudson river at a depth of 1100 ft. There were also a number of good miscellaneous star films screened.
THE NORWOODS,
Notification is given that, Professor Norwood and his company, who created such a sensation here last week, are returning to New Plymouth on Monday and Tuesday next, May 13 and 14. The professor will be accompanied by his own pr-Tsonal company only, and so will occupy the stage throughout the whole performance. Those who were fortunate enough to see the Norwoods last week were unanimous in their praise of the high meritß of t'he entertainment, and those who have not yet witnessed tli« marvellous display should do so on Monday and Tuesday next.
