FIRE INSURANCE
A WELLINGTON GRIEVANCE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday. The alleged unfair treatment of Wellington by the fire insurance companies as far as the rates are concerned was again discussed by the. cou»«il of the Chamber of Commerce yesterday. A letter was read from the Underwriters' Association stating that the Association toad no particulars with regard to fire losses in Wellington for the years 1909-10-11, and consequently could not supply the information sought by the Chamber. The letter also stated that no alteration could be made in the "A" area. After lengthy discussion a motion was adopted requesting a conference between the Chamber and the representatives of the insurance companies with a view to discussing the whole matter.
