EXCESS OF ARRIVALS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Figures supplied by the Statistical Department show that the net gain of population by arrivals over departures for the year ended March 31 was 5892, as against 2674 for the previous year. The detailed -figures are:—April—Arrivals, 2422, departures 4.138; May, 3309 and 3400; June, 1090 and 3276; July 3048 and 2889; August, 2652 and 2531 •' September, 3485 and 2915; October, 3169 and 2366; November, 3248 and 2054- December, 5492 and 2808; January,'.so96 and 3031; February, 3902 and 3125; March, 3365 and 4672. Totals: 1912 43,097 and 37,205; 1911—37,049 and 34,375.
