At the Queensland Turf Club's meeting the principal event resulted as follows:—■ The Brisbane Thousand, of 1000 sovb.; seven furlongs—My G-avonni, 8.13, 1; Pittsworth Gun, 9.5, 2; Lord Raven, 6.9, 3. Tsventy-four horses started. My Gavonni led from the half-mile post. Time, lmin. 29sec. An Adelaide cablegram states that at the South Australian Jockey Club's meeting on Saturday, the St. Leger Stakes was won Banffshire. Sanskrit was second, and Persian Chief third. At the Canterbury Park meeting( Sydney) on Saturday the ex-New Zealander, Pakau, won the Hurdle Race from The Dip and Mimora, Eight horses started,! and Pakau won easily by three lengths.
