A RESCUE HOME
GIVING THE BOYS A CHANCE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. With the object of giving a chance in life to boys being reared in objectionable surroundings the Wellington Diocesan authorities have opened a rescue home at the Lower Hutt. The building consists of six rooms, with nearly an acre of land attached, and has been leased with a right of purchase. There is accommodation for eight boys, though at present the home has only one juvenile inmate. The 'official opening ceremony took place on Saturday afternoon in the presence of a fairly large assemblage, among whom were Bishop Sprott, Archdeacons Fancourt and Harper, and the vicars of all the city and suburban parishes.
