PURE FOOD COMMISSION
AUSTRALIAN MEAT. By Cable—Press Association—-Copyright. Sydney, May 2. Giving evidence before the Pure Food Commission, the manager of a meat packing company said that some meat was packed in Australia, re-labelled in London, and sent back and sold here under the name of a well-known English firm. Canned tongues bearing the English brand were worth 4s a dozen more than those bearing the Australian brand.
