Hastings, Last Night. There was perfect weather for the second day of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's autumn meeting, and a good attendance. The Governor and party were present. The totalisator investments amounted to £13,307, against £10,711 for the second day last year. The total for the two days was £25,800, compared with £21,428 at the last autumn meeting. Results:— Ohiti Hack Hurdle Handicap, of 100 sovs; one mile and three-quarters.— Waipureku 9.4, 1; Seaman 10.12, 2; Game 9.3, 3. Merry Lad 11.7, Lamsdorf 9.10, Idealism 10.10, Golden Water 10.0, and Kildonan 9.8 also started. Waipu-1 reku led from end to end and won easily I by four lengths, with a neck between j second and third. Time, 3min 17sec. Okawa Hack Handicap, »f 100 sovs; 1 seven furlongs—Lord Renown 8.9, 1; Outward 8.10, 2; Manitau 8.6, 3. San Pluie 9.3, Merrimac 8.9, Easy 7.10, Waikehua 7.8, Morning 7 7 . Rongomai 7.6, Arohakau 7.6, Prince " Idle 7.5, Mozella 7.5, Rising Sun 7.0, llauru 6.12, Here 6.12, Hurakia and Waiao (bracketed) 6.10, Fair Average 6.10, Lord Kilcheran 6.10, and Divinia 6.10 also started. Won' by a head, with three lengths • between second and third. Time, lmin 29sec. Hawke's Bay Stakes, of 400 sovs; six furlongs and a half.—Bon Ton 7.8, 1; Brown Owl 7.(1, 2; Prince Soult 8.7, 3. Culprit (bracketed with Bon Ton) 8.12, Redloh 7.10, Glade 7.1, and War'light 6.8 also sta.rfced. A great race. Prince Soult and Bon Ton led to the railway bend, where Brown Owl came through and supplanted Prince Soult. The run home resulted in favor of Steads' colt by inches, with three lengths between second and third. Glade was fourth. Time, lmin 21 l-ssec. Burke Memorial Stakes, of 300 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—Masterpiece 8.6, 1; Lady Moutoa 6.12, 2; Mangaoroa 7.1. 3. Sublirrve 7.5, Sir Tristram 7.2, Ariom 6.12, Te Puia 6.10, Vi 6.10, Loch Mabin 6.10, and Amato fl.B also started. Loch Mabin, followed by Ariom, led to the turn for home, where Masterpiece went to the front and won by two lengths. Mangaoroa put in a challenge a furlong from the post and was beaten by Lady Moutoa by a neck for second place. Time, 2min 9sec. Scurry Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs; five furlongs.—Stellaris 7.11, 1; Ngakau 7.6, 2; Thrave 9.6, 3. Ama,ru 8.0, Pot Luck 7.12, Boronia 7.8, Facsimile 7.0, Ranfurly 6.10, Missile 6.10 also started. Won by half a length, with a head between second 1 and third. Time, lmin 2 3-ssec. Mangatarata Hurdle Handicap, of 120 sovs; one mile and threequarters.—Waiputere 10.5, 1; Whakaweira 11.2, 2; Dogger Bank 10.6, 3. Woolloomooloo 10.5, Silva 9.13, Appin 9.10, The Spaniard 9.0, Game 9.0, and QHandary 9.0 also started. Won by two lengths, with a similar distance between second and third. Time, 3min 15 2-ssec.
