The attendance was fair. The totalisator handled £12,503, as against £10,717 on the fust day of the last autumn .meeting. Results:— Longlands Hack Handicap, of 100 sovs; one mile and three-quarters. —Merry Lad, 10.7, 1; Seaman, 10.8, 2; Game, 9.2, 3. Idealism 10.12, Artie 9.2, Matapouri 9.0, and Bravest 9.0, also started. Won comfortably by two lengths, with three lengths between second and third. Time, 3min. 14sec. Maiden Hack Handicap, of 106 sovs.; six furlongs.—Obligant, 7.7, 1; Mozella, 8.8, 2; Kinbombi, 7.7, 3. Facsimile 8.8, Temerite 8.8, Fair Average 8.5, Ranfurly 8.5, Hautu 8.5, War Scare 8.5, Waimahora 7.7, Monella 7.7, High Pressure 7.7, and Himitapu 7.7, also started. Won by two lengths. 'Porangahau Handicap, of 100 sOvs; six furlongs.—Bootle, 8.0, 1; Bandeira, 8.11, 2; Gladiole, 8.12, 3. Theodore 7.13, Meremere 7.0, Vi G. 12, and Auldearn 6.7, also started. Won by a length. Time, lmin. 15sec.
Hawke's Bay Cup, of 450 sovs; one mile and a half.—Los Angelos, 9.10, 1; Mangaroa, 6.7, 2; Midnight Sun, 8.3, 3. Masterpiece 8.7, Miscount 8.2, Lady Moutoa 7.0, Ariom 6.13, Tepuia 6.13, Loch Mabin C.7, and Elfish 5.7, also started. Lady Moutoa and Loch Mabin were responsible for the early running, the top weight, Los Angelos, being a long way back until the straight was reached. Half way down the straight Los Angelos threaded his way through, and in a great race home beat Mangaroa by half a length, with a similar distance between second and third. Time, 2min. 36 1-Ssec. , Karamau Hurdle Handicap, of 120 sovs; one mile and three-quarters.—Dog-ger Bank, 9.4, 1; Pond Memory, 9.0, 2; Whakaweira, 11.0, 3. Paisano 1*2.3, Corazon 10.1.1, Silva 10.1, Donzel 9.0, and Quandary 9.0, also started. Dogger Bank led all the way, and won by four lengths. Time, 3min. 16y 2 sec. Won by a length, wfth a length between second and third. Time, lmin. 50sec.
