THE COAL STRIKE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, April 30. Sir William Hall-Jones has received a further sum of £llOO in aid of sufferers from the coal strike. This will probably meet the immediate necessities of distress. The majority of the districts are in full work.
THE SEAMEN'S STRIKE. Received 1, 10.30 p.m. London, May 1. A conference at Liverpool of representatives of the seamen and firemen agreed to appoint a conference early in May to deal with the dispute. Meanwhile the men will rejoin their vessels on the present terms.
