The Rarawa had a particularly rough trip down from Onehunga yesterday morning, not arriving in port till 8 a.m. Her cargo amounted to 200 tons. WAIRAU WITH CEMENT. The small coastal steamer Wairau arrived yesterday afternoon from Tarakohe (Marlborough Sounds), with 86 tons of Golden Bay cement. The cargo is for various Taranaki consignees. The Wa,irau is a vessel that has had a particularly eventful career. She was at one time a sailing vessel, and during that time, was overturned on two occasions in Cook Strait. Since being converted into a steamer she has had some unpleasant experiences, and has been aground on several occasions. THE TAVIUNI. KARORI EXPECTED FROM NEWCASTLE. It is reported that the Karori, which arrived here some time ago with 1000 tons of coal from Newcastle, is to go on the loading berth again at the New South Wales port for New Plymouth.
