A BAR TRAGEDY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, April 30. At the trial of Hancock for shooting Poison, after a quarrel in a hotel bar at Uralla, on February 11, accused in his defence stated that Poison followed him round the town. He was very much frightened at the time of the shooting. A verdict of guilty of manslaughter was returned, and the accused was sentenced to imprisonment till the rising of the court. A NORTHERN TERRITORY .TUWR Melbourne, April 30. Mr. Bevan, a Melbourne barrister, has been appointed Judge for the Northern Territory. THE NEW SOUTH WALES FORCES. Sydney, April 30. Colonel Wallack, commandant of Victoria, has been appointed commandant of the New South Wales forces.
