Samuel, Postmaster-General, speaking in the House of Commons, announced that he had arranged for a fullrate wireless system from London to New York at eightpence a word, compared with a shilling a word for cablegrams, and. a deferred plain language rate of fourpence a word, as compared ■with sixpence. Mr. Samuel, in reply to a question as to the origin of the false reports of the Titanic's safety, said that they had not been traced.
