The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. F. P. Corkill; president, Dr. Fookes; vice-presidents, Rev. Colvile, Messrs. C. W. Guvett, V. H. Beale, S. Smith, and F. Fagan; auditor, Mr. H. Stocker; delegate to Taranaki Hockey Association, Mr. J. Mackay; secretary, Mr. R. Okey; management committee, office bearers, captain, vice-cap-tain, and Messrs. Griffiths, Howell, and Smith. The election of a selection committee was left over till a later date. Fifteen new members were elected to the club.
The opening day was fixed for Thursday next, May 2, on the club's grounds, play to commence promptly at 2.30 p.m. It was resolved that a letter be forwarded to the Taranaki Jockey Club, asking for permission to use their ground at the racecourse on the same terms as in previous years.
