THE SAILORS' STRIKE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 29, 10.30 p.m. London, April 29. The granting of bonuses for the present voyage has temporarily settled the sailors' strike. INSTITUTE OF INVENTORS. Received 29, 11.20 p.m. London, April 28. The Agents-General have been elected vice-presidents of the Institute of Inventors, which aims at securing the establishment of Imperial instead of sepaarte patents in the various parts of the Empire, and also at advising intending patenteas. A FRENCH APPOINTMENT. Paris, April 29. Genera] Lyautey has been appointed first French Resident-General for Morocco. AUTOCRATIC RUSSIA, St. Petersburg April 29. The police suppressed a demonstration in the Nevsky Prospekt against the Lena shooting affray. The demonstrators crossed the Neva and reassembled. One hundred and twenty-three were arrested, including thirty-nine girl students.
