HEROIC TELEPHONE GIRLS. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright New York, April 25. Five hundred villagers are homeless at Milliville, Syracuse, where a dam collapsed, releasing a lake two miles long. The flood swept all before it in the valley. Scores of houses have been levelled. The telephone girls stopped at their posts and warned all subscribers. Everyone lied, and all were saved. Three power plants were destroyed, and two dams carried off.
