TWO DOGS FOUND
(BEATTJE STILL MISSING. Otaki, Wednesday. A telephone message was received in Otaki this morning to the effect that two of Mr. iS. J. Seattle's dogs have been found behind the "Forks," in the Otaki gorge. Mr. Russling, who has property in the vicinity, has heard several shots during the past few days, but lias taken little or no notice, considering they were fired iby pig-hunters. This morning he heard further shots, and was surprised on 'finding the dogs, which belong to Beattie. A search party, on hearing of the above, left Manukau, fully expecting to find 'Beattie, who has ibeen away ten days, in the vicinity of Mount Crawford, and probably making his way down the Otaki river.
