TRANSFERRED PROPERTIES. By Cable—Press Association—Copvright Received 15, 12.55 a.m. Melbourne, April 15. The Federal Government has abandoned the proposals mooted some years ago, when Sir John Quick was Postmas-ter-General, of linking up the Pacific Islands wirelessly. The Commonwealth has paid the States 3 per cent, interest on the value of the transferred properties, but without prejudice to claims for 3 1 /, per cent.
